Lifetime Limited Warranty: Exterior Painting
1. Warranty Coverage
Ace Elite Painting (“the Contractor”) warrants that all labor and materials used for the exterior painting of the above property will be free from peeling, blistering, or flaking paint due to defective workmanship for as long as the original homeowner owns the property (“Lifetime Limited Warranty”).
This warranty covers only the specific surfaces painted by the Contractor during the original project.
2. What We Will Do
If a covered defect occurs, the Contractor will:
• Inspect the affected area
• Prepare the surface (scraping, sanding, spot-priming as needed)
• Repaint the affected area using a comparable product and color
Repairs will be made at no labor cost to the homeowner.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
A. Environmental & Structural Conditions
- Damage caused by moisture intrusion, leaks, gutters, sprinklers, or standing water
- Damage caused by mold, mildew, or rot
- Damage from extreme weather, including storms, hail,wind-driven rain, or natural disasters
- Damage due to UV fading (normal weathering)
B. Surface or Material Issues
- Pre-existing structural defects
- Paint failure caused by incompatible previous coatings
- Movement or cracking of substrates, such as wood expansion, stucco settlement, etc.
C. Owner-Related Causes
Damage caused by impact, abrasion, neglect, or misuse
- Areas not properly maintained (e.g., not cleaning mildew annually)
- Work done by other contractors after the original paint job
D. Exclusions Related to Lifetime Term
- Warranty terminates if the customer sells or transfers the home
- Warranty applies only to the original workmanship—not normal aging of materials
4. Warranty Claims Process
To make a claim, the homeowner must:
- Notify the Contractor in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect
- Provide reasonable access for inspection
- Provide proof of original contract/work
The Contractor will respond within 14 business days to schedule an evaluation.
5. Homeowner Responsibilities
To keep this warranty valid, the homeowner must:
- Maintain caulking around windows, doors, and trim
- Keep shrubs or sprinklers from causing moisture against painted surfaces
- Clean mildew annually
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or pressure-washing painted surfaces
6. Limitations of Liability
This warranty is for labor only and does not cover:
- Consequential damages
- Reimbursement for alternative contractors
- Repainting entire surfaces not affected by the defect
The Contractor’s maximum obligation is limited to repainting defective areas only.
Lifetime Limited Warranty: Interior Painting
1. Scope of Coverage
Ace Elite Painting (the “Contractor”) warrants that the paint film applied to interior surfaces will
be free from peeling, blistering, or chipping resulting from defective workmanship for as long
as the original customer owns the home.
If a failure occurs, the Contractor will provide the labor and materials necessary to repair the
affected area at no cost to the owner.
2. Eligibility & Limitations
To maintain the validity of this warranty, the following conditions must be met:
- Original Ownership: This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the person(s)
named on the original contract. - Full Payment: The contract must be paid in full for the warranty to take effect.
- Exclusions for Wear and Tear: This warranty does not cover fading due to sunlight,
scuffs, stains, or damage caused by cleaning chemicals.
3. Specific Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage caused by factors outside the Contractor’s control,
including but not limited to:
- Structural Movement: Cracks in drywall or plaster caused by the settling of the home or
seismic activity. - Moisture Issues: Peeling caused by water leaks, high humidity, condensation, or
mold/mildew growth. - Surface Abuse: Scratches, gouges, or impact damage from furniture, pets, or occupants.
- Previous Coatings: Failure of paint layers applied by previous contractors that exist
beneath the new coating. - Specific Surfaces: Varnished surfaces, cabinets, walking surfaces (floors/stairs), and
metal are typically excluded or subject to a separate limited term.
4. How to Make a Claim
To request a warranty inspection, the owner must:
- Contact Ace Elite Painting at info@aceelitepaintingandcoatings.com within 30 days of
noticing the defect. - Provide a copy of the original signed contract or proof of payment.
- Allow a representative of the Contractor to inspect the area to determine the cause of the
failure.
